Crossman Engineering provided civil engineering services for a condominium development on approximately eight acres of land located on Turner Street in Warwick, Rhode Island. The development consists of six residential condominium buildings, which will contain a total of forty-two units and associated parking areas.

The proposed work included the extension of Turner Street to provide access from Strawberry Fields Road. A 48-foot long by 40-foot wide pre-cast concrete structure was installed to span a wetland and river.

The drainage design utilized three separate underground detention systems to control runoff from the project. Services also included the design of a gravity sewer and water system extensions to Turner Street.

The project included coordination and permitting with the following agencies:

  • An Insignificant Alteration Permit from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) for bridge construction, wetland mitigation and stormwater management systems.
  • Street Abandonment Petition with the Warwick City Council.
  • Major Land Development Review with the Warwick Planning and Zoning Boards.
  • Approval of a stormwater infiltration system from the RIDEM Underground Injection Control Program.
